Keto Garlic Bread


The secret to really good low-carb bread? Cheese, glorious cheese!

This delicious keto bread can be served as an appetizer, a snack or as a side dish. It's crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and has a lovely flavour thanks to the garlic butter. Only 1 gram of carbs per piece.

Keto Garlic Bread


INGREDIENTS :

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. shredded mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp. freshly grated Parmesan
  • Kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp. cream cheese
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Marinara, warmed, for serving
  • 1/2 c. finely ground almond flour
  • 1 tbsp. freshly chopped parsley

Tip!

If you don't like almond flour or if you have an allergy, you can make this recipe with coconut flour instead. Substitute the amount of almond flour for a third as much of coconut flour and double the number of egg whites.

DIRECTIONS :

  1. Preheat oven to 400° and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium, microwave-safe bowl, add mozzarella, almond flour, cream cheese, garlic powder, baking powder, and a large pinch of salt. 
  3. Microwave on high until cheeses are melted, about 1 minute. Stir in egg.
  4. Shape dough into a ½”-thick oval on baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with garlic, parsley, and Parmesan. 
  6. Brush mixture over top of bread.
  7. Bake until golden, 15 to 17 minutes. 
  8. Slice and serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
